The magic comes through practice.

Consistent practice leads to change.

Hi, I'm Suze, a certified Pilates teacher based in East Sussex with a passion for the beautiful benefits Pilates brings to both our bodies and minds.

I currently teach a combinaton of group Mat and Chair Pilates, as well as private 1:1 classes and 'Pilates with a Friend' sessions in Hove.

All my classes are mixed level and, therefore, ideal if you are well practised or trying Pilates for the first time. My hope is that my creative cueing, playful and varied class plans and friendly, enthusiastic approach will help you feel uplifted, energised and balanced and, most of all, happy you made moments for yourself.

I teach most of my classes in the cosy Loft Room at The Cornerstone and The Float Spa (both on Church Rd in Hove) and, from March, you'll also be able to join my Sunday morning alfresco sessions in the sunshine.

My online booking system will be launching soon, in the meantime please pop me a message below to book.

My 1:1 and 'Pilates with a Friend' private sessions are perfect if group classes are not your thing and/or you have specific health, fitness,

rehabilitaion goals in mind.

Just pop me a message below for more details.

Testimonials

"Pilates with Suze has given me a small window of time - one evening a week - away from my hectic family and work life to focus on myself. It is a form of self care and feels like I am ticking more than just an exercise box. The sessions reduce my stress levels and activate parts of my brain which have perhaps become lazy, the mindfulness side of pilates was something I wasn't aware of until I started Suze's classes. She is a warm and encouraging teacher and each session has been different, so I always feel challenged but not ever far from my comfort zone. Thank you Suze!"

No matter what physical and emotional state I arrive at Suze's classes I leave feeling I have my zen back, with a more relaxed and stronger feeling body. Suze is naturally gifted at creating a group community feeling in her class, very welcoming to all.
Thank you, you are a brilliant pilates teacher Suze."

"Suze is the most wonderful pilates teacher. Having not gone to any classes for years, I was a bit worried, however she makes the classes fun, but you work hard at your own pace and she keeps a constant watch on your technique. Apart from being a fabulous teacher, she has such a calming aura about her, you leave her class rejuvenated yet relaxed. If I could do a class every day I would!"

"Welcomed from the start into a small group of Pilates class as a beginner with little experience . This is a gentle, relaxed and holistic hour that goes by too soon . I leave feeling energised, happy and so glad I joined this
Pilates class."
~ Stephen

"Although I have only been attending for five weeks, I have found the classes really enjoyable and challenging . I was encouraged recently when I attended a hospital appointment and was told that my muscles had improved, which they attributed to the Pilates classes. Suze is so supportive and encouraging and despite my never having experienced Pilates and still learning I have not felt uncomfortable in the classes and look forward to coming every week."

"I am very glad I found Suze for my Pilates sessions. She creates a warm and friendly atmosphere but doesn't lose sight of results. She is warm and motivating and has an effortlessly engaging manner. I always feel energised after the sessions. The sessions are tailored to our abilities and produce real results. I would have no hesitation in recommending Suze as your
Pilates instructor."

"Suze is a fantastic Pilates instructor. Her teaching style brings a relaxed, warm and connected vibe to her classes, she’s extremely knowledgeable and very supportive. When I had running related Sciatica last year attending Suzie’s classes really helped with my mobility - she’s extremely attentive and balances individual and whole class attention really well. I love her outdoor sessions in nature, they are the perfect start to the day."

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm new to Pilates, is that ok?

Absolutely! I'm always excited when someone says they are trying Pilates for the first time. On booking your first session I will email you a questionnaire so I can be aware of any health issues/injuries you might have and this is also an opportunity to share any specific goals you may have. I start every session with a short introduction to the Pilates breath and core activation and continue to cue throughout the class. If you're feeling at all apprehensive about trying something new (which is totally natural!) or have any questions please connect with me so we can arrange a chat.

What weekly classes are there to choose from?

I teach a selection of weekly classes in the lovely Loft Room in The Cornerstone, Hove. These include Chair Pilates, Mat Pilates, Dynamic Mat Pilates and Pilates with Weights.
